We all know that traffic is the lifeline of the internet and everyone that wants to make money with their website needs it but many people do not know how to get traffic and that is why I am writing this article and many more to come. In this article, I will be telling you about one of the more powerful methods of traffic generation that I know and the best thing about it is that it is residual. You do the work once and it will drive traffic to your website for years to come with no additional effort.
This method is viral ebooks.
Viral ebooks are an excellent way to drive traffic to your website and one method that I am very fond of. The power behind these viral ebooks is literally unbelievable. The idea is that you create a good, informative ebook, add links to your website in it, give it away for free and allow everyone that gets it to give it away as well therefore creating a viral campaign as it spreads through the internet. The more people you can get your ebook to, the better.
If you want to make your ebook go as far as it can, then I would suggest that you put a lot of effort into making it a good ebook with lots of good information about the subject. People will not want to pass on an ebook to others that even they were not pleased with so the better your ebook is, the further it will go.
You can also make your ebook super viral in a number of ways.
For example, you could add some affiliate links in it and allow people to rebrand them with their affiliate links meaning that they have a reason to pass it on as they can earn from it, you could add links to one of your products and allow affiliates to rebrand it with their affiliate links therefore you will not only get a flod of traffic to your site but you will also recruit an army of affiliates or you could add a paypal button inside the ebook and allow people to purchase a rebranded one for ten dollars and everyone they give it to has the option of paying them ten dollars to rebrand it and so on.
There are many different ways to make an ebook become a viral marketing campaign, you just have to be a little creative. It really just comes down to two things and they are you must have links to your website in it and you must give people a reason to pass it on to others. If you can cover those two things then you are practically guaranteed to dramatically increase the amount of traffic you get to your website.
I know that I regularly visit websites that I find through good ebooks and more than likely you have too.
When I tell others about this method of traffic generation they say to me, "How would I get it out there and start the viral campaign” , well, there are many different ways to get an ebook out there and some that I suggest you use are free ebook directories that can be found via google, forums, joint ventures, website visitors, selling them on ebay for 1p and there are many more but the idea is that you do not particularly need to get it out that far as once you spread it a little, it will become like a virus and be passed on by everyone who has it.
So, now you know one of the most powerful methods of traffic generation. Here is a breakdown of how to do it:
Write a 20 page or above ebook with good quality information about the subject of your website.
Put links to your website in it where suitable.
Give people a reason to pass it on. It could be just the fact that it is quality information in it or you could go a step further and add rebrandable affiliate links or a rebrandable paypal button.
Get it out there via directories, forums, joint ventures, visitors to your site, selling them on ebay for 1p or any other way you can find.
Watch it spread through the net like a virus.
